Sydney Horan

About Me

Hello! I'm Sydney "Syd" Horan. I am a biologist who has worked in several systems, from newts to nestlings. My overall interest is the influence of environmental change and human influence on host-parasite (and host-pathogen) systems. I employ a mixture of field studies and laboratory work to answer these questions. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Connecticut in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.

When I am not in the lab, I enjoy art, photography, birdwatching, hiking, and cooking.

I am also an amateur webmaster. This site was coded by my own hands, upkept using a static site generator (11ty) and hosted on Github Pages. As a result, it is always under construction.
